The best concert ever!
Luckily, I’ve been to many concerts so far, but hands down I choose the concert of my favorite group as my favorite ever: Seventeen’s concert on August 29, 2017 at the Movistar Arena.
To put in context, Seventeen is a South Korean boy band formed in 2015 by Pledis Entertainment. The group consists of 13 members which are: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino.
The group performs as one group, and the members are divided into three sub-units, each with a different area of specialization (hip-hop unit, vocal unit, and performance unit). They are considered as a "self-producing" idol-group because the members are actively involved in the songwriting, choreographing, and other aspects of their music and performances.
I’ve followed this group since their pre-debut and I grew up with them, following every step and effort they have made for success, which could explain why they became my favorite group ever. I love each of them for their unique personalities and friendship, as well as how talented they are.
I found out that they would come to Chile in advance because at that time I was part of the fanclub staff. That gave me time to raise money and buy the tickets as soon as they went on sale, so I managed to go to court, which was the closest to the stage.
I went with my best friend, since we share the love for this group, and we lined up since 6 AM. The best thing about this was my even greater enthusiasm because I was one of the lucky people who won the hi-touch (which is based on touching the hands of the artists quickly before the concert). The hi-touch moment was too fast, but I can assure you it was the best moment of my life.
Finally in the concert, because the court is quite crowded, we separated with my best friend. I struggled a lot to get a spot in front of the stage, but I made it and survived the entire show in the same place.
The concert was amazing! The waiting hours were worth every second because I felt happier and more alive than ever listening and seeing the artists that I had been following for so many years finally live.
The atmosphere of the place was great. We all chanted the songs and shouted like crazy and noticed that they were happy for our reactions because they thanked many times for the energy and love that we gave them.
Every time I remember that concert the nostalgia runs through me, but at the same time it gives me absolute happiness. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!
(The photos I’ll add are the ones that I took myself at the concert)
